Today, as developments and changes in the content and broadcasting industries have removed borders, Turkey has built a new communication bridge in Istanbul, where continents and civilizations meet, in order to create new alternative cooperation platforms. IFTV Istanbul International Film-TV Forum enhances communication and cooperation channels of TV industry with a vision to become the industry’s meeting point; provides the broadcasting industry with the chance to discover the ever growing Turkish Media Market, exploit new opportunities in the EMEA region and build global partnerships.

Turkish media industry has been globally on increase over the past years and thus in 2015 Turkish series, productions and formats have been exported to nearly 80 countries and valued at $250 million. Furthermore Turkey has an exceptionally wide and rich capacity in broadcasting with 154 Cable TVs, 376 Satellite TVs and 178 analogue terrestrial TVs; 97 Satellite radios and 902 analogue terrestrial radio stations. There are also 7 Satellite Broadcasting Platform and Infrastructure Operators and 4 Cable Broadcasting Platform Operators.

Organized by CEO Event and supported by RATEM – Professional Union of Broadcasting Organizations, the biggest NGO of the sector in Turkey, IFTV not only brings a selected profile of influential professionals together, but also hosts an important cultural gathering with visitors from around 75 countries.

Istanbul Leading Congress Destination

Istanbul first broke into the world’s “Top 10 Congress Destinations” in 2010, hosting 109 congresses according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). It has solidified its place in “The World’s Top 10 Congress Destinations” in 2015, hosting 148 congresses. As the city is home to 7 purpose-built convention centres and 3 exhibition centres Istanbul has the capacity to host any type of event – from incentives to up to 30.000 participants association meetings.

As a strong verification to its prestigious ranking, Istanbul hosted conferences in recent years that received praise from all sides. Some of the main congresses are; World Dental Congress (FDI), with 15.000 delegates, International Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) hosting 8.100 delegates and European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) hosting again 8.000 delegates got compliments within the international community. Again, Conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) with 4.000, 7th World Congress on Paediatric Critical Care with 2.000, EFNS-ENS Joint Congress of Neurology with 5.000, 9th World Stroke Congress WCS with 2.500, IFCC World Lab – 22nd Int. Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine ICCCLM with 6.000 guests also can be counted within the prestigious meetings that Istanbul hosted
